Chapter 77
Kim Sunghan (Korean: 김성한; RR: Gim Seonghan) is a defense-specialized Hunter currently employed under Haeyeon Guild as one of guild leader Han Yoohyun's right hand men. He is known as Haeyeon's shield. Originally an A-rank who later grew into an S-rank, he is one of the only two defense-specialized S-rank Awakened people in Korea.
Appearance[]
Kim Sunghan is a tall man with an extremely intimidating build and look, enough so to cow even hardened gangsters. He has a stern face and serious expression that make him look older than he actually is,[1] as well as a low, heavy voice.[2] He has dark brown hair and dark eyes, with tan skin.[3] When he is angry, his expression is visibly stormy and his voice drops even lower.[4] When in a good mood, however, he has a gentle smile that makes him look markedly different.[5][6]
In the webtoon, he is shown to have prominent cheekbones and a strong jawline, and his hair is brushed upwards and back, cropped short at the sides. His eyebrows are thick and feathery.[7]
When going out for drinks with Han Yoojin, Kim Sunghan wears a pair of sunglasses to prevent himself from being recognized; they give him the appearance of a gangster or thug.[1]

Kim Sunghan originally had A-rank stats, with the potential to have Awakened to S-rank.[2] Through Han Yoojin's application of his Caregiver growth skills, spending a time focused on stat growth,[8] Kim Sunghan has since grown to S-rank with the associated stats.[9]

Han Yoohyun[]
Kim Sunghan is deeply loyal to Han Yoohyun and strongly respects him, acknowledging him as his leader. In return, Han Yoohyun strongly trusts and relies on Kim Sunghan, tasking him with the protection of his beloved brother.[2]
Han Yoojin[]
Kim Sunghan originally believed Han Yoojin to be an active hindrance to Han Yoohyun's growth and safety, and as a result, looked down on him and saw him as an eyesore.[2] Post-regression, Kim Sunghan was disgruntled at being assigned to guard the elusive Han Yoojin, but grew to respect him after seeing him save Yoo Myeongwoo.[5] Kim Sunghan thinks of him as calculating and smart, and despite knowing he has secrets and acts suspiciously,[10] considers him trustworthy, righteous, and reliable in dangerous situations.[11]

Kim Sunghan was raised by his grandfather and loved him deeply.[11] TBD
Kim Sunghan's parents[]
Kim Sunghan's parents divorced when he was young. His mother remarried, and his father left the country, sending only child support, eventually falling out of touch with Kim Sunghan as he grew older, possibly having found a new family. As a result, Kim Sunghan is distant with both his parents, having a stronger familial connection with his grandfather.[11]
