My Brother's Acting Strange (2) (Korean: 내 동생이 이상하다, RR: nae dongsaeng-i isanghada) is the seventh episode of The S-Ranks That I Raised webtoon.
Unable to leave home, Han Yoojin explores his surroundings and negotiates for his freedom.
Summary[]
Yoojin demands to know why Yoohyun won't let him leave his house, and Yoohyun explains that since they have become close again, Yoohyun's enemies will begin to target Yoojin in order to get to him. Therefore, for Yoojin's safety, Yoohyun has his belongings moved into his own house, having believed that Yoojin's apology and seeming acceptance of everything Yoohyun did to him was as good as permission.

Kim Sunghan's Promising Sprout window
The distraught, frantic Yoojin wonders why his brother is acting so different to how he remembers him, and plots to run away while Yoohyun is out of the house. His plan is foiled when he runs into Kim Sunghan, an A-rank defense Haeyeon Hunter who is one of Yoohyun's right-hand men, who has been ordered to keep Yoojin from leaving. Though Yoojin's fear of him is nullified by his Fear Resistance skill, Kim Sunghan is still physically stronger than him, and Yoojin is reluctantly ushered back into the house. As he leaves, he uses Promising Sprout on Kim Sunghan only to realize the man has the potential to be an S-rank. Failing to influence him with the keyword so that he can use the skill, Yoojin is unceremoniously booted back into Yoohyun's house.

The young, dark-haired girl
When Yoohyun gets back home that night, he finds Yoojin despairing at his impromptu house arrest and begging to be allowed to leave. Yoohyun, amused, tells Yoojin he'll be allowed to roam free when Yoohyun is confident of his safety—in short, when Haeyeon becomes the strongest guild in Korea. Yoojin is horrified, knowing this will take several years, and cannot be comforted by Yoohyun's assurances that he or Kim Sunghan will escort him out from time to time, explaining that he cannot leave Yoojin's safety to someone B-rank or lower. Yoojin realizes that from his pre-regression Hunter obsession, he knows which people will become high-rank Hunters, and can gain their loyalty through Awakening them with his skill. The excited Yoojin convinces Yoohyun to let him go free if he can find himself an A-rank bodyguard. As he plans to find someone powerful and gain their favor, preferably a child who will be easily swayed to his side, the episode cuts to a young girl in worn, oversized sneakers, busy at work.[1]

Novel & webtoon differences[]
- Yoohyun tells Yoojin that he'll be moving into his house in person, unlike in the novel, where he tells him this over a phone call.[2]
- Yoojin attempts to influence Kim Sunghan directly after using Sprout on him. In the novel, he is too reluctant to use the keyword and simply goes back into the room.[2]
- Yoojin only begins to consider Bak Yerim as a recruit after making a deal with Yoohyun about finding a bodyguard. In the novel, Yoojin considers her much earlier, as a potential member of his own faction if Yoohyun gets too controlling.[2]
Trivia[]
- This episode contains the first appearance of a confirmed A-rank.
